The more stitch braids the merrier!

Can we all just stop for a minute and discuss the pure greatness and versatility of stitch braids? I mean, there are just so many fun and different directions to take this one braiding pattern—it’s true magic for any hairstylist and any braid lover. So to celebrate our love of stitch braids over at The Braid Up, we had stylist Nastacia Crooks-Brady dream up this six-stitch bun for today’s episode…and let me just say that she absolutely nailed it. This stunning style can easily be worn as a bun or a ponytail depending on your mood too. Like I said, versatility!

1. Give your hair some TLC. Using a nourishing oil treatment on your natural hair before your wash is a must. It will give your hair some much-needed moisture and minimize the chance of breakage while you wash, detangle, and style.

2. Switch up your braiding hair. Did you happen to peep the blonde braiding extensions Crooks-Brady used at the front of this style? So fun! Do the same and switch up your braiding hair to have even more fun with this look.

3. Calm those flyaways. As you wear this style, you’re eventually going to experience some flyaways and fuzz. Don’t worry though—using a little styling mousse will easily smooth everything down. Use a couple of dollops of product on your braids before bed, then tie down your hair with a silk scarf or bonnet. In the morning, your style will look as good as new.

4. Try out some cool accessories. Go ahead and add some eye-catching metallic beads or hair rings to your braids—they will elevate your style in seconds and require minimal effort.
